In collaboration with UNICEF and the World Health Organisation, Covax facilitated the first shipment.
“We are pleased that Ghana has become the first country to receive COVID-19 vaccines from the Covax facility,” UNICEF reported in a joint statement with the WHO, coordinating the shipment from Mumbai.
The frontline employees in Ghana will be the first to receive the vaccine.
