According to SaharaReporters, no fewer than four people were killed in the latest Kagara attacks in the state of Niger.
Since February 17, 2021, when armed gangs abducted workers and students of the Government Science College, Kagara, the city has been in the headlines.
The losses were released around the time reports spread of the latest attacks in Kagara.
Kagara sources told the Daily Trust that in two separate villages, 11 victims, including seven women, were kidnapped.
Gidan Adamu, near Yakila, the headquarters of the Gunna district, was said to have been targeted by armed bandits.
Yakila’s district head had recently been abducted, and his whereabouts were unclear.
The district head of Yakila had earlier been kidnapped while his whereabouts have been unknown.
The source also told the newspaper that the bandits attacked another village called Gidan Wamban Karaku and abducted seven women, two nursing mothers.
They also rustled a large number of cows, the source said.
Also, in Madaka district, they kidnapped the Imam of Rubo village, the source said.
